The long wait is over!

It all started with a very unofficial statement that the Samsung A3 2016 may receive an upgrade to Android 6.0. Then came the news that the manual had been updated to Android Marshmallow on the official Samsung website. MEanwhile the Samsung J5 was already receiving the coveted update to Andoid Marshmallow in some parts of the world, notably in Russia.

While many users of the Samsung A3 2016 kept their fingers crossed about the update, it seems the tech at Samsung was actually busy all along preparing the update which is now available over the air on the devices. Notably, the UAE model of the Samsung A3 2016 was the first to receive the update. See the images below:
